My Word: 6 week online writing groups with Lori Saltzman, one of the founders of Open Floor Dance. For writers and non-writers alike, it’s easier to relax into a simple rhythm: writing, sharing, and listening. What comes through us is real, messy, touching, occasionally heartbreaking, and often hilarious. Lori offers up a poem, a single word, a wild headline, a song. We start to know each other beyond our polished selves. Then we do it again.

Roger Housden is an author, speaker & writing guide offering books and courses for living and writing wild! I took one of his workshops blending writing exercises and meditation with a friend at Spirit Rock Insight Meditation Center a few years ago, and it’s still one of the most powerful writing workshop experiences I’ve had. He brings an emphasis on self-discovery and exploration into his workshops and classes, which he also hosts online!

Founder Amy M. Anderson and Editor Kelsay Myers, provide a space to share and discuss the transformative power of art. This journal adds to the ongoing scholarly conversation about forms of art as catalysts of transformation, whether experienced by witnessing a work by another artist, or by the process of creation, and often it is through the experience of these two in conjunction with each other where transformation occurs. We honor these experiences and processes through publication of free, open-call, peer-reviewed submissions including but not limited to essay, music, painting, collage, photography, poetry, short-story, memoir, video, etc.
